Patients with clinical hypothyroidism often complain of muscular symptoms i.e., cramps, weakness and fatigue. However, rhabdomyolysis triggered by severe hypothyroidism is rarely reported. In most cases, external triggers (use of statins or excessive exercise) can be easily identified and modified.
